There’ll be fond reflections about colourful stagewear and the tweedy pipe-smoking attire of the landed gentry. We’ll ask if the Eagles nicked Hotel California from his very own We Used To Know. We might even mention the time he had lunch with Mikhail Gorbachev.
He’s fronted the band, written its songs, and managed its grand total of 27 members while fashions came and went and scores of other acts crashed and burned around him, and he views the rock landscape in a unique and original way… and with a rare wit and wisdom. This will be a great night and a fascinating untold story.
